About the Journal


Emerging Research in Education (ERE), a peer-reviewed, Diamond Open-Access journal dedicated to emerging researchers. The journal’s overarching aim is to create a high-quality, supportive, and rigorous publication venue for emerging scholars. It will:

  • Provide a structured publication pathway for Emerging Researchers Conference (ERC) participants;
    Support early-career academics with transparent, constructive, and developmental peer review;
  • Maintain robust quality assurance standards aligned with those of European Educational Research Association (EERA) and its networks;
  • Foster the visibility of diverse research traditions, methodologies, and educational issues represented within the broader ERC community.

The journal will embrace the breadth of fields across EERA’s thematic networks, ensuring that the wide interdisciplinary range of educational research is reflected in its content and editorial expertise.

The journal will serve as a platform for emerging researchers in educational research across Europe and beyond. Its scope reflects the interdisciplinary richness of the ERC and the wide range of research fields represented across the EERA networks.

The journal aims to:
